Calling all novice and professional photographers! ABS is once again hosting our annual photo contest.
All submissions may be used in ABS marketing materials and communications, such as websites, social media, brochures, etc. The contest begins June 14 and will be open through July 16. Please review the below details before entering.
Eligibility: ABS creates two calendars each year from this photo contest in each of the following categories: dairy and beef. The contest is open to residents of North America (US and Canada), including customers, ABS employees, and authorized independent representatives. Each participant may enter as many photos as they wish.
Judging: The ABS team will choose the top photos from each category (dairy and beef) to be used in our respective calendars. The top 12 photos for each category will be available on our Facebook pages for our friends, families, and customers to vote for the calendar cover photos!
- Photos will be posted on Facebook (@ABSglobal) for each category (dairy and beef).
- Participants may tag friends in comments on photos and share the photo to gain likes, but it is not required. Only likes on the original photo will be counted; likes on the main post or likes from shared posts will not be counted.
- Voting for each of the calendar covers on the ABS Facebook pages will take place July 26 through August 2.
Prizes: The top 12 photos from each category (dairy and beef) will be included in the 2024 calendars, and each winner will receive their own copy of the calendar. Winners of the top three photos in each of the two categories (as determined by the most votes) will receive ABS semen credits.
- First place: $200
- Second Place: $100
- Third Place: $50
Submission Guidelines: Submissions are accepted starting June 14 and will close on July 16. Photos must be high resolution. Preference may be given to ABS-sired cattle featured in the photos.
- Dairy calendar: photos must pertain to the dairy industry by including dairy cows (including calves, heifers, dairy x beef crosses), products, etc.
- Beef calendar: photos must pertain to the beef industry by including beef cattle, products, etc.

- First and last name
- Contact information: email, phone number, and mailing address
- Submitting for Dairy or Beef Calendar
- Title of your photo
- Tell us the story of your photo
- Breed
- Pedigree, if applicable
Terms and Conditions:
- By submitting a digital photo for consideration, you are stating that you have secured the necessary permissions for all photo content (including people) and you are authorizing ABS Global, Inc. to use the photo in any and all promotional materials or as ABS Global, Inc. deems appropriate (i.e. website, brochures, social media, etc.).
- By entering the contest, photographer consents to ABS to publish their submitted photo in promotional materials, credit may or may not be given.
- Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on July 16, 2023.
- Participants can submit multiple photos.
- Photos that are lewd, obscene, sexually explicit, pornographic, defamatory, or libelous will be disqualified.
- By submitting a photo, the contestant consents to the entry of their submission and agrees to the terms and conditions.
- ABS Global, Inc. does not accept responsibility for photos that may be reproduced or used without these permissions.
