ABS Australia has an extensive range of products sourced from our Global Product Development programs in the UK, Italy, USA, Canada and Australia. This, in conjunction with our alliance in Australia with German Genetics International, allows ABS to service your total genetic needs.
Locally here in Australia we have successfully graduated four very exciting sires in April. Standing out in front is the new number 3 APR Holstein bull JACKAROO. This exciting new Ladino son specializes in many traits but is extreme for protein production (+0.23%) and overall type and mammary system.
Central Sires and ABS have also graduated another fantastic Jersey bull in Jace son ELTON. ELTON ranks as the number 5 bull on the APR list and excels for most traits Jersey breeders are searching for!
SHOTTLE continues to rank number 1 on the US and Canadian systems and has just recently added a top ten ranking in Australia proving his pasture based genetic merit. Outside son JEEVES and two outstanding Oman sons in LEGEND and MCCORMICK also rank in the top 10 TPI sires.
As the landscape continues to change for dairy farmers year over year the genetics industry will also be in for some changing times! The Genomic era looks set to take flight this year as the first genomic evaluations have been included in the US & Canadian proofs.
ABS Australia is excited to launch the “PRIMETIME GENETICS” range of bulls. The PRIMETIME GENETICS range is the highest genomically tested young sires ABS Global have in waiting. These bulls have higher reliability than traditional progeny test sires due to the results of genomic testing.
