Check Mate is the ultimate heat detection aid. It is quick, easy, and clean to apply by simply peeling off the back cover and immersing in water for a few seconds. You can then just press it on. When activated the prominent coloured bubble is easily seen from a distance, so there is no mistaking when your cow is in heat. Check Mate will stay affixed for weeks in all weather conditions.
When activated, the Kamar gives off a bright luminous colour which is easily visible during the day. The heat detector is glued onto the back of the cow. When the cow stands to be mounted, the pressure from the mounting cow activates the detector which turns bright red. The built-in timing mechanism, which activates when sustained pressure is applied for at least four seconds, ensures only true heats are detected.
These tags are self-adhesive and are placed between the hip and tail head. Unlike other heat detection aids, they withstand multiple mountings while heat progresses. The silver surface is progressively removed via friction each time a cow or heifer is mounted.
This paint comes packaged in aerosol, bottle or tin and is available in a range of colours. It is applied to the cow in the same area as other heat detection aids and the paint appears rubbed once the cow stands to be mounted.
