Estrus synchronization is one of the most effective management tools available to beef producers. It not only facilitates the use of elite A.I. sires, but also is an extremely beneficial reproductive management tool to improve your operations overall efficiency. Today's synchronization programs provide options that allow you to tighten your calving interval, reduce labor needs and allow for a high percentage of your cows to be bred early in your calving season.
The Beef Reproduction Task Force has developed the following protocols to be used for synchronization. These protocols are tested and proven to give consistent results - note there are different protocls for heifers versus cows.
