ABS Cornerstone Progeny Testing

 

ABS Cornerstone is the growing Progeny Test program of ABS Global. ABS Global was one of the first AI companies to begin full-scale progeny testing in the US in 1963 and today over 500 bulls of six different breeds are tested in USA, Canada, UK, Italy, Brazil and Australia.

The aim is to identify superior sires so that with every generation, ABS Global can develop and offer our customers a sire line-up that is better than the previous. Today through the program, daughters are assessed and their sires evaluated, for more than 30 production, management, durability, and confirmation characteristics. ABS Global has taken a leadership position in incorporating characteristics like longevity, daughter fertility, calving ability, udder health, and physical confirmation in its sire selections.
