Rohan Sprunt is pictured with President of Jersey Australia, Lisa Broad receiving the stud\u2019s Jersey Master Breeder award.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>His dam &#8211; Kaarmona Invincible Babe 323 EX-91(max) &#8211; is Australia\u2019s former number one Jersey BPI genomic cow at 463 and a descendant from the live import brought into the country in the early 1990s to expand the nation\u2019s genetic pool and improve Jersey milk flow. Eight of 10 CSCBRADY\u2019s dams have also classified Excellent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fact that CSCBRADY\u2019s breeder &#8211; Kaarmona &#8211; is the only dairy stud in Australian history with a Master Breeder award from two different breeds, is just icing on the cake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABS Australia Business Operations Manager Bruce Ronalds said CSCBRADY ticks many boxes for Jersey breeders. \u201cHe\u2019s a Jersey bull with over 500 litres of milk and positive components &#8211; that\u2019s pretty unique,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd he\u2019s also got the unusual combination of high type and high production. He\u2019s ranked number two for Australian Selection Index (ASI) in the Jersey breed and number one for Type.\u201d A \u201cpretty special bull for ABS.\u201d Bruce said he\u2019s a sire with something for everyone. \u201cHe\u2019s ideal for anyone who wants to increase their herd\u2019s genetic gain at a rapid rate,\u201d he said. \u201cRegardless, he will be one of our biggest sellers and we anticipate export demand for him, big time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Breeder Rohan Sprunt from Kaarmona Jerseys and Holsteins said CSCBRADY has a deep and productive pedigree. \u201cHis (CSCBRADY) mother and grandmother are such high milk cows and have high components, both were over 4 per cent protein cows,\u201d he said. \u201cThey are both big frame cows too. Hopefully he can add frame to animals too because his genomic profile indicates he will transmit size, openness and front-end width into his daughters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Central Sires Co-operative (CSC) owns CSCBRADY and its Chair Peter Ness said the young Jersey sire was a standout. \u201cWhen we purchased CSCBRADY in September he was 40-odd points (BPI) better than any other bull and usually when a new bull comes along, they might be five to 10 points above anything else, this one was a fair jump,\u201d he said. \u201cHe\u2019s a good all-round bull, with a high BPI.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also demonstrating his stability and wide-ranging appeal at the top of the Jersey list is Forest Glen Craze&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/absbullsearch.absglobal.com\/details\/bull\/29JE4213\/D\/AUS\/JE\/EN\/USA\/AUS?source=search\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TRIPP<\/a>&nbsp;at 367 BPI, after adding 118 daughters in 18 herds, to a total of 148 daughters, since the August ABV proof release. Bruce said TRIPP was one of the first cohorts of sires involved in the increased uptake of sexed genetics and this has resulted in a \u201cbig whack\u201d of daughters coming through the system in one hit. \u201cBut this huge group of daughters also shows how highly fertile and reliable he is,\u201d Bruce said. \u201cHe\u2019s also got good Daughter Fertility at 102 and is a breed leader for Teat Length at 112.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leongatha North farmers&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.absglobal.com\/au\/2023\/09\/26\/early-adoption-pays-off-for-south-gippsland-jersey-herd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kylie and Mark Reid<\/a>&nbsp;have used a lot of Sexcel\u00ae TRIPP in recent years as a tool to increase their genetic gain. \u201cWith TRIPP he\u2019s got good fat, milk, protein, fertility, good teat length and chest width,\u201d Kylie said. \u201cWe breed for fertility and milk. There\u2019s no point having a cow with no fertility and milk, they are production animals, you want them to produce. If they look pretty, that\u2019s a bonus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-new-holstein-talent\"><strong>New Holstein talent<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Up and coming Holstein Denovo 15492&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/absbullsearch.absglobal.com\/details\/bull\/29HO19226\/D\/AUS\/HO\/EN\/USA\/AUS?source=search\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HUGO<\/a>&nbsp;is shaping up as a good \u201call-round\u201d sire with reliability to back-up his impressive production, health and type figures. And with 52 milking daughters, he\u2019s not only increased 66 BPI points to 519 BPI, he\u2019s on his way to the proven ABV list. Ranked third on the Sustainability Index (SI) at 1065 and with 41kg of protein and 53kg of fat, HUGO has elite production. In addition, he\u2019s 106 for Type, 107 for Udders and has good Mastitis Resistance and Daughter Fertility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bruce said HUGO daughters are proving their worth on the farm. \u201cThose farmers milking them, they are now coming back and using him again,\u201d he said. \u201cThey are all pretty impressed with his daughters, they\u2019ve all reported good, sound udders, high milk flow, with high components; the latter combination is rare.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABS Australia continues its dominance of the Holstein ABV proven list, with five of the top 10 sires in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Denovo 14744&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/absbullsearch.absglobal.com\/details\/bull\/29HO18957\/D\/AUS\/HO\/EN\/USA\/AUS?source=search\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GINETTA<\/a>&nbsp;sits at the top of the Holstein ABV proven list at 536 BPI and now has 100 daughters in Australia. From the same US cow family as HUGO, GINETTA is comparable to many young genomic sires, valuable today in the industry and offers the reassurance of an Australian proven pedigree.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"731\" src=\"https:\/\/www.absglobal.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2025\/11\/RS12140_Ginetta.jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11986\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.absglobal.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2025\/11\/RS12140_Ginetta.jpg.webp 1024w, https:\/\/www.absglobal.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2025\/11\/RS12140_Ginetta.jpg.webp?resize=300,214 300w, https:\/\/www.absglobal.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2025\/11\/RS12140_Ginetta.jpg.webp?resize=768,548 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Denovo 14744 GINETTA<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Long-time breed leader, ABS&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/absbullsearch.absglobal.com\/details\/bull\/29HO18698\/D\/AUS\/HO\/EN\/USA\/AUS?source=search\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JERONIMO P<\/a>&nbsp;remains in second place with a whopping 931 daughters and is the sire of many of the nation\u2019s top young genomic bulls and top cows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For ABS Australia\u2019s Bruce Ronalds, stability in bull rankings means ABS Australia sires are consistent and \u201cstand the test of time\u201d. \u201cThis is great news for dairy farmers, they can choose ABS genetics with confidence,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd for many that used the bulls as genomic sires, these consistent proven results demonstrate the value in their breeding choices.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Denovo 4798&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/absbullsearch.absglobal.com\/details\/bull\/29HO21056\/D\/AUS\/HO\/EN\/USA\/AUS?source=search\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ESTATE PP<\/a>&nbsp;remains number one homozygous polled bull in Australia at 537 BPI. Guaranteeing 100 per cent polled progeny, he\u2019s one of ABS Australia&#8217;s 30 homozygous polled (or double-P polled) Holstein bulls available in the country, offering three times as many than any genetics company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those looking for \u201celite type\u201d Kings-Ransom S&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/absbullsearch.absglobal.com\/details\/bull\/94HO19526\/D\/AUS\/HOLSTEIN\/EN\/USA\/AUS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DREAMBIG<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; bred by the famous US Holstein stud Kings-Ransom &#8211; is now 112 for Udders, in the top 1 per cent for this trait in Australia.
