Open Role: An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated professional to join our Sales Team in Cayuga County and surrounding area.

The Sales Technician provides technical knowledge, advice and support to sales representatives, resellers and customers during the sales process to resolve requests regarding product/service technical issues and to maximize the benefits derived from the organization’s products and/or services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Functions include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. (Include NO more than 10 functions)
•             Accountable for new business development and systematic direct semen sales to assigned producers including provision of heat detection and insemination service and breeding route development. 
•             Attain area sales, unit blend and service goals as defined for each fiscal year.  
 •             Maintain current customer information in CRM.                
•             Understand all features and capabilities of ABS products and services and be able to communicate them to the customer 
•             Consistently evaluate opportunities for market penetration through acquisition of customers of competing AI organizations.  
•             Provide accurate and timely sales reports or progress toward established goals on a monthly basis or when specifically requested.  
•             Manage expenses, inventory, accounts receivable, and company assets within established guidelines.  
•             Provide timely response to voice mail, email, fax and requests for information.  Create and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers via professional and respectful interaction.  
•             Accurately complete and submit travel and expense reports within the guidelines provided by the Financial Services Department. 
•            Observe and follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.    


TravelUp to 90% travel may be required.
EducationBachelor of Science degree or Associates degree in Agribusiness or related field preferred
Licenses/CertificationsValid Driver’s License
ExperienceMinimum of 3 years combined insemination and sales experience
