Technical Services Veterinary Consultant

The Technical Services Veterinary Consultant uses technical expertise to add value to Genus ABS customers. This roles harnesses specialist cow health and wellbeing knowledge, data and technology expertise, alongside analytical skills with Genus ABS partners, to ensure customers’ expectations are exceeded when using Genus ABS products and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. To support retention of existing and win business by demonstrating the value of Genus ABS solutions
  2. To undertake field visits to key accounts to improve farm management and environment leveraging Genus ABS Technical Service resources for total dairy management solutions, with profitability of the customer in mind
  3. Evaluates customer and market data to identify opportunities for Genus ABS to deliver value to customers
  4. Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers in matters of cow health and wellbeing
  5. Deliver internal knowledge transfer and learning and development to enhance Genus ABS core capabilities
  6. Grows own in-depth understanding of cattle health and wellbeing, data and technology concepts, theories and principles in own discipline and knowledge of other disciplines such as genetics
  7. Establish and maintain links with key industry partners to maximise business growth opportunities for the business

Requirements

TravelWilling and able to travel in and around UK with some EMEA travelApproximately 2 nights per week away from own residence
EducationSpecialist sector-based; Veterinary Surgeon degree with evidence of further Masters, Diploma or Certificate preferable
Licenses/CertificationsFull driving license
ExperienceDemonstrable experience of working within the agriculture industry harnessing technical expertiseAdvanced level knowledge of cattle health, wellbeing, daily management, technology and software solutionsPrevious experience of growing organization capabilities
