With Genus ABS\u2019 Reproductive Management System <\/a>(RMS\u00ae) in place, the farm benefits from a specialist team managing reproduction, including heat detection and data-analysis. James commented that using this system takes the pressure off their team and it provides extra reassurance knowing there\u2019s another pair of eyes on the cows. Previously, the herd was operating at a pregnancy rate of 18% and a conception rate of 28%. The farm began using RMS in April 2024. The pregnancy rate of the herd now sits at 26%, with a conception rate of 42.5%. Reproduction Management Specialists, Andy Potts and Dylan Philips have made excellent progress for the farm and continue to push fertility forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The farm introduced genomic testing four years ago in order to make more informed breeding decisions and gain deeper insights into herd potential.
