It is thanks to our Cornerstone members that we can produce bulls with highly reliable proofs that are potentially tested on the farm next door to you!
Each young sire is sampled with the potential to have over 100 daughters in 60 herds in their first crop proof, reaching our signature Rock Solid Genetic status. By achieving this status, we can be completely confident in the breeding ability of each of our young bulls and make the informed decision whether bull will graduate or not.
Our selection criteria is based on trying to maximise profitability with priority given to functional type, easy care cows, improving fertility and longevity. In addition, every bull sampled through the programme is genomically tested.
The development of DeNovo Genetics, our own Holstein Breeding programme has allowed us to rapidly improve our genetics as a stud, the standard of genetics offered through Cornerstone is higher than ever before! UK genetics have really made their mark on the worldwide industry and testing young bulls is essential to continue the success of UK genetics.
