ABS Surpasses 30% Global Genotyping Growth, Driven By GENEadvance Expansion

Program continues to scale worldwide, reinforcing a more data-driven and results-oriented approach in livestock production

ABS Global has surpassed 30% growth in commercial genotyping volumes in just 10 months.  This expansion is largely driven by the global growth of GENEadvance, a program that integrates genomics into a comprehensive genetic improvement strategy. This acceleration in global genotyping goes beyond internal scale for ABS — it directly enhances the value delivered to customers by strengthening the depth and reliability of the data behind every recommendation. A broader dataset enables GENEadvance to generate more precise predictions, reduce uncertainty in genetic decisions, and drive greater consistency of results in the field. In practical terms, this translates into more confident decision-making, better alignment with production goals, and faster, more predictable genetic progress.

GENEadvance combines genomic data, dedicated technical advisory, and proprietary genetics to develop customized plans aligned with each customer’s goals. Within this framework, genotyping is no longer an isolated tool, but part of a broader, structured decision-making process.

“The producer defines how many heifers they want to produce in the next generation and the traits they are targeting. From there, we build a complete genetic strategy to consistently deliver on those objectives,” says Juan Cainzos, GENEadvance Product Line Manager.

Within this process, genomics plays a central role: mapping the herd, guiding the development of customized indices, and validating results over time. The structured use of data enables greater predictability and accelerates genetic progress, reducing variability and improving overall productivity.

“The growth in genotyping clearly reflects market confidence in the quality of our data and in ABS’s ability to deliver results. It marks a consistent shift toward a more objective, data-driven livestock industry, where decisions are based on solid information and focused on outcomes,” says Matthew McClure, Product Development Manager.
